Well thats it now, no longer worth listening to R1 now, been listening to these 2 since Hit The North show on R5, before it became exclusively News/Sport channel. Sad day in broadcasting

This month, I have been attending demos for automated radio station systems and as one enthusiastic salesman said "I can record a five hour shift in less than 30 minutes!"
This explains how they play the same crap over and over again because you can bet your last dollar (or pound!) that if the DJ had to be there for every track, he or she would go mad or have to alter the playlist a bit more often.
At least Mark and Lard seemed to be interested in what they played.
The graveyard shift they did was pure quality, not playlist on that show, just great toons
When are they leaving? I just listened to their show this morning before coming to work.
Just goes to show how far down the bog Radio 1 is heading if you ask me. Oh well, musn't grumble (
