Hello!
I'm Jan, a 40 year old mother of three, married to a fellow Brit, and resident for the last seven years in a suburb of Boston.
In the UK I'm originally from Birmingham, went to Nottingham Uni, then lived in Hampshire and Hertfordshire. We first came to the US in 1991 on an eighteen month assignment to Boca Raton, Florida.
I've never been unhappy in the US, but until last year almost expected we'd 'go home' one day. I'm amazed to realize, though, that I've grown to love this country with all it's quirks, and now can't imagine leaving. I was a French and German teacher in the UK, and over here I work part time with special needs children. I manage to get back to the UK at least once a year, and have lots of expat friends to share a laugh with. I'm happy to have made so many new Britnet friends.
