I saw them when I was back in the UK at Chrimbo. Looked ok and much as you described - seemed very popular too, although I was never much into Queen so didn't do a whole lot for me. The video I saw on MTV (they seem to remember what the 'M' stands for in Europe) looked a bit "Bohemian Rhapsody".
Our college newspaper here had a review of them but they didn't seem too impressed and were not exactly recommending them.
My wife and her little brother love The Darkness
They think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread!!
I just think that theyre a poor tribute band, a cross between queen and the sweet
I didnt like either

Saw a clip of them performing on ITV News yesterday, spot on about Queen/Sweet, also add a bit of Steven Tyler...
I actually like the "I believe in a thing called love" song. Mis got me to listen to it and it is catchy (but then again so are Outkast evil )
We can't have it both ways, can't bitch and moan about Boys R Us, Boyzone, Westlife, Atomic Sh*itten, Spice cows, and any other garbage we have Stock Aiken and Waterman to thank..........
and then when something new comes along where a band appears to write, play and sing their own stuff it is a positive breath of fresh air.

I dont think it is new . All you need is Jimmy Saville and Smashy and Nicey to introduce them and theyre complete :D
