Hi again.
Well since my lasst post ive stopped panicking a little bit. I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on finding accomodation to rent over in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Times are drawing closer and im starting to think about how to go about it.
Has anyone had any good experiences using a company over there to find accomodation before they went over or have you found it best to go n stay in a hotel for a while n look whilst your there?

All opinions gladly received.

Thanks.

Hi - I'm still in the 'waiting for visa's' stage but I have bookmarked a few sites which you may fancy keeping for future ref

http//www.relocate-canada.com/ab/calgary.htm - there's a link to a real estate page which will give you some idea on prices and includes links to (in their words) 'important websites', like Chamber of Commerce, Visitors Bureau etc.

http//www.cmhc-schl.gc.ca/en/index.cfm this is the Canada Mortgage and Housing Assoc. - they have a section on buying or renting - if you click in there there's some info. for newcomers finding a place in Canada and rents per major city etc.

Hope they're some help.

Best of luck!

P.S - I've just checked more into the 2nd link and a lot of the links are to material which has to be paid for - BUT the newcomers guide to Canada (refer to renting section) has a 54 page free PDF report!
