it would have been 1-1 but for the elusive offside trap.

I have only been t oone baseball game here in Buffalo. I have never EVER been so bored in my entire life. I really should have guessed after seeing a pundit on ESPN Sports remarking excitedly during one game that no one hit a ball for 20 pitches!!
American's can make fun of cricket all they want for being boring, but I would have thought that they would have figured out why virtually no one else plays baseball. Apart from Japan and Cuba there are no actual leagues as such - unless you count the Mid Glamorgan Rounders league. Come to think of it, alot of popular American sports like baseball and lacrosse are usually played by teenage girls in Britain.

I used to think just like you when I first came over but I had alot of time on my hands and started watching baseball because any sport with a ball is better than watching Jerry Springer.....the more I got to understand about the game the more I loved it. Now I find it very interesting and it's less boring than cricket in one respect that it only lasts about 3 hours rather than a bunch of days.
Anyway, that's just me.
Anyway, that's just me.

I went to a game a few years back - it wasn't bad. I spent most of the time trying to work out what all the numbers were on the electronic scoreboard as my wife....being a woman.. D...didn't have a clue about sport.... Cleveland Indians vs. Minnesota Twins.

And unlike most team sports there is always a winner.
