Good drama!
I've been a fan of the books for a while now and I must admit John Hannah wouldn't have been my first choice for Rebus. He does play the role well though. If you enjoyed the TV sweries read the books. They are available in the US (I've seen them in Borders)

Was it quite true to the books, do you think?

I like Rebus, but I put a lot of it down to being from Edinburgh and knowing the parts of the city where most of the action takes place rather well. Not sure how well it travels.

Really like this series, I recorded last nights episode cos I was so tired I just had to go to bed - I then proceeded to spend an hour and half in the Britnet chat room lol . Just can't bear to miss out on anything me!
