Can anyone please advise how much we need to invest for a Business Visa and if it would be possible to also apply for a loan from a finance company in the States to make up the required amount, whilst looking for a suitable business in the States?
$1,000,000, and you must employ 10 people already legally resident and authorised to work in the US.

If you need that much money for a small business, why do these so called Visa Consultants say that you don't require that much so long as the business supports you financially. We were prepared to take that risk and spend a lot of money in the process. o

Because in certain circumstances (i.e. starting a business in a low income area) you may be able to do it with less.
You would have the burden of proof to show you qualify.
The more work the "so called Visa Consultants" do on your behalf to get you a visa the more money they make off you.
You do NOT need $1,000,000 to get an investor visa
You an get an E2 treaty invetsor visa for an invetsment of normaly aorund $100,000 and will be nrormaly required to employ one american.
An E2 visa is not a green card but in many ways is just as good if your purpose is to manage and run a businessin the US.
