Has anyone been to Montreal to get their visa issued? I have extended my H1B and I need to have the new visa issued. There is no way I can wait 10-15 working days in the UK on my next trip, to get it done there, so I am looking for alternatives.

Doing it here in the US will take 8-12 weeks and I don't want to wait that long.

I know of someone who went off to Canada for their interview (they don't have an H1B visa though - don't know if that makes a difference) and had no problems. Don't know where abouts in Canada they went though. Sorry. I do know that he had his interview all lined up before entering and leaving Canada.
